Terrible...
Getting back to the terrorists..may they rot in hell and die a painful slow death. There will be these kind of psychopaths claiming to be fighting for Jihad or whatever, even in the coming times. As one cannot totally be free of the evil elements around us but how I wish only if we had leaders who were true in their efforts of serving our country and its people. If they really cared to built a strong infrastructure in terms of security so that the terrorists will give a thousand thought before attacking India in any way. Only if they truly payed homage to the heroes who lost their lives fighting terrorism instead of making long speeches. Only & only & only if they really tried to share our pain..
In the end a big salute to all heroes who lost their lives fighting...the staff of Taj & Oberoi, Mumbai cops..NSG Commandos, Marcos everyone and a big hug & sincere prayer for all those affected in any way. If god has given pain he will give strength to move again!!

Movies & More...
Dostana is funny and Johnny boy was an eye candy. The guy is too hot!! Junior B was funny too. And the scene when he come running towards Johnny boy is hilarious.
Dasvidaniya is a good time pass. Also while watching this movie i thought of many things that I want to do before I die. Will make a list of that later. Vinay Pathak is the only star in this movie. And as usual he has done a good job. Some where I think he is getting repeatative doing what he did in Bheja Fry.
Heroes was an ok movie.Salman khan looked cool in his turban, better than what Akki looked in Singh Is King. Sohail Khan should forget all about acting.
Not to believe, I am yet to watch Fashion & Quantom Of Solace.
As I am a serial “serial watcher” & new episodes not being telecasted on tv channels, I have been watching HBO ,Star Movies, UTV Movies & news channels all along. Watched Fantastic Four starring Jessica Alba on star movies last night. Which was kindaa weird. I watched it on & off. It was about these 4 people who are the saviours of our planet & lead a life which is not normal. Guaff…
Also came across a piece on star news ( don’t know what to call it for heaven’s sake)where Deepak Chaurasia was interviewing 2 candidates of BJP & Congress in some press conference style and a bride walks in. Chaurasia ji explained that she is getting married in a near by location & asks her opinion on her kind of Dream Delhi. Also introduces her relatives and asks the brides sister what kind of bride is she..Nervous or confident?? Sissy replies “very confident..she performed on Bidi jalai re on her sangeet last night.” On this Chaurasia ji laughs & says “ many many congrats…bidi jalai re ka performance hum phir kabhi dekhenge”
Don’t know what to say on this further..??????
Apart from a lot of news watching I am reading a lot of books. Recently finished Whiteout by Ken Follet. It was just a time pass nothing like his earlier works. Currently reading Diddi by Ira Pandey.. The book is about her mother Gaura Pant Shivani, commonly known as Shivani among her readers. Also my mom,s favourite writer and mine too.
Piled up on my reading list is :
A Prisoner Of Birth by Jeffrey Archer
Three Mistakes Of My Life by Chetan Bhagat
You Are Here by The Compulsive Confessor
The Zahir, Brida & The Fifth Mountain by Paulo Coelho
Will try to finish all these soon so that I can add some more stuff on my book shelf.
In btw …tonight I am planning to watch A Mighty Heart on HBO at 9 pm. :)

In Love..........
The week was spent leisurly. Took 5 days off frm work. 5 days almost seems unbeleivable. Spent some quality time wd sis, niece and my sweetheart. Now my sweetheart is this cute looking cream colored lab called Bruno. I just adore him, love him and needless to say he is the apple of our (me & sis) eye. Since i started this post in a hurry i thought i will wrap it up real soon but now that i have mentioned bruno, this post will take long to finish. I dont remember much of his childhood when he was the naughtiest puppy always up to some mischeive but now he has turned into this most innocent looking lab who can walk off easily after committing a murder by just looking at you with his big black eyes. He is the youngest in our family being just 2 years old. And i know i will get killed if my niece reads this but he is the reason i visit them atleast once in a month. That exited and happy look on his face, all that display of affection makes me feel so loved. :) And after that exitement goes and he gets relaxed, Bruno wants to show me all his recently purchased new toys. So he gets them one by one, drops them on my feet and look at me proudly like a kid alluring others with his toys. That dammed dog demands to be patted after every hour, will force his way in between if i am hugging my niece and will make himself comfortable on our space after me & my niece gets ready to go to bed.
(Bruno, sleeping on my space after I went to fetch a sheet for myself)Going for a ride is his fav. past time. All u have to say is Ghummi- Ghummi and he will jump with joy...
(The look of pure bliss on his face)Some of the words that he understants to the T is:
Bhukki?? (u say this and u will find him in kitchen standing on the slab looking at u. But point to be noted, if he is not hungry chances are he didn't hear what u just said.)
All suger honey coated nouns like poppy, dompik, daffu, sona, khargosh. (He thinks he proudly owns all these titles. Even if he is sleeping u say any of these words, & he starts wagging his tail.
According to my sis we were ditched into buying a huge white rabbit instead of a dog. :) )
On a recent visit to India my small nephew (who was completely in love with Bruno) and me composed a song for him which goes like..
"Chote -chote Bruno ki badi - badi eyes hain
Chote-chote Bruno ki flappy-flappy ear hain
Chote-chote Bruno ki waggy-waggy tail hain
Chote-chote Bruno ki baddy- baddy breath hai" :)
The dog listens to it as the proud owner and the origin being his waggy tail, flappy ear & big eyes he continues to wag it even more, looking at us with the same big black eye and all we do is roll our eyes helplessly :)

Fun time
The next day was spent shopping with sree at lajpat nagar. It was after ages that I went to Amar colony mkt to get a chicken kurta. I didn’t get it though, was a different issue all together coz these days I am getting used to this repeated syndrome with me. It is either with the size or style but I usually don’t get what I exactly want at one go. But this time I didn’t mind as I got some really good bargain for 2 cute looking tees and 2 suits for me & Sangi each. Writing about sangi reminds me that I need to write in detail about some of my family & friends so that their hilarious deeds are not erased from my mind with time.
Also I am trying hard to keep up with my writing atleast one post every week promise. Wishing myself again happy blogging ahead. It helps even for my peace of mind :)

9/13/08..Saturday
It happened again. In a moment life changes for people. Some lives meet their unexpected ends and some moves on doing their usual day to day chores. Blasts rocked Delhi again. Weekends come and go, we make our plans just like the victims must have done this weekend. Wives fight with their husbands to take them shopping, girlfriends nag and asks the boyfriends to take them out, children argue with their parents for an outing, friends make plans to meet over a coffee, shop keepers hope to make good money over the weekend. Yet the question remains unanswered is will it be their last outing with their loved ones? Dont know what I m writing or how I am choosing my words. The thing is why it happens to common people like us?? Who have never ever seen the faces of those inhumans who are behind these attacks.
The only qustion in my mind right now is how come these people able to sleep peacefully at night?? Don't they get haunted knowing the fact that they are the reason behind the suffering of so many innocent lives?? What goes behind their brain washing?? Are they not normal like us to feel things around?? Writing this I feel goose bumps because their are maniacs around us who can take our lives in a moment and we dont even know who they are?
I can go on & on writing about these blasts and and words of strength for the victims. But the fact is that no amount of words can console the victims and change the course of their lives. I can only sit in the comforts of my home feeling guilty about it and pray to god that dear god, plz dont let go the people behind these attacks free. Make them suffer even more than all of us who have been directly or indirectly affected by these attacks. Make them rot till they cry for death and regret their existance. Give strength to all the victims to make peace with whatever has happened and look forward to what future holds for them...

Weekend Planner..:)
Was thinking of finishing some of the books boyfee gifted me (only after a long insisting ofcourse)
Btw us things go as :
Tintin to boyfee: sweety don’t u think its been ages since I received a gift??
Boyfee: … hoon…
Tintin( giving her most charming & seducting smile): so what r u planning to buy for me??
Boyfee (coming out of his thoughts and using the only diplomacy he knows): all is yours honey..
Tintin( in her most innocent looks): U see sweety I am a simple girl so I don’t want ALL from u…just a bit of shopping ,
latest best sellers..and some good food will do
Boyfee: (silence)
Tintin: Bolo naaaaaaaa
Boyfee: ok…we will see
And this goes on & on..& after a week (only if tintin gets lucky otherwise it can stretch to months as well) of cribbing & nagging finally tintin gets lucky to receive a list of prescribed bestsellers from her boyfee..hurray :)
Okie..coming back to this weekend, other finish to do stuffs on my list is:
home cleaning, a bit of cooking, and watching some of the rented dvd’s.
So this weekend will be a low key affair with lots of sleeping included. :)
By the way a million dollar question for anyone willing to solve this mystry …Why is it that on weekends people get up at 7 a.m. & find it impossible to go back to sleep again and on weekdays people crave to sleep 5 more minutes even after being disturbed by that dammend alarm clock shrieking on & on???????????
Anyone who answers this question will receive the mystery solver of the year award from Tintin :)

Good day Bad day
After that I checked the Bizzarre showroom and they had everything in store except that one top I was dreaming about the whole time. Great…
Later I thought I will try the local market area of where I stay and it took 45 minutes in total to get an auto rikshaw. Now days I get strong pangs to start driving again. Thanx to the weird attitude shown by Delhi Autowalas these days. In between all this boyfeee was on phone and finally when I got an auto the traffic was something I have never witnessed before. Where is Delhi going ppl?? How do you all manage to travel long distances when it took me an hour to cover a distance of 8 km??
The only positive point was boyfee assuring me that today he will take me out for shopping and my bro in law postponing his travel plans till next week.. So I still have time left to indulge in my shopping sprees and the icing on the cake is without being in a hurry… yippeeee all is not lost tintin…you lose some you win some…Haapy Shopping Ahead… :)

On a Spree!!
Coming back to SIK. Somehow I didn’t liked the movie as much as I thought I will. May be because my expectations went higher & higher after reading the reviews. But Somehow the movie is a “khichdi” of everything and as it goes to many cooks spoil the food!! When you watch Akki you expect some kind of action but the high point of this movie was the parachute chasing a bike sequence which actually went to Sonu Sood. Akki only followed in the footsteps of Gandhigiri and did not had much to do. But he is good in comedy no doubt. Music was one of the high points of SIK.
Coming back to this week, I might go to watch “ Wanted” tonight as boyfee’s sweetheart Angelina stars in the movie. Asking him to take me out for a movie is a task but for “Wanted” all work, Stress , managing time etc excuses were forgotten & he is as ready as ever. Ofcourse hez going out on a date with Angie the only sour part would be Tintin accompanying boyfee… poor he…;)
Btw, I was also planning to watch Phoonk & Mumbai Meri jaan with collegues. Phoonk only because of the fun factor involved in watching a horror flick wid frnds in a theatre
Also I need to indulge myself in a bit of shopping.. Its been long since I resolved to control my shopoholic self. Need to buy 2 pair of slippers for my sis who is in US rite now but have some liking for Indian pair of footwears & UG’s. Since brother in law leaves for US on 2nd I need to finish it before time. Poor Tintin is only planning to buy a white top from Bizzare which is ruling her mind from the past one week. Tried resisting for the 1 whole week but finally had to give in to the temptation. Just hope it fits to the T. Fingers crossed.. More to follow later.. gotta go.. cheers :)

Ruling our lives!!
It was the year 1982 when my ma & both my sis convinced dad to get a TV & the convincing factor was the Asian Games. So here we brought home our very first TV an Uptron B&W television. The Ad for this brand went like…”What’s on?? It Uptron..” It even had a wooden shutter in the front.
Here is a list of what I grew up with watching on Indian Television:
Chitrahaar: Every Wednesday and Friday at 8 pm was like ultimate tv time for us. Not to be missed at any cost. I remember my sis used to maintain a notebook where all songs of chitrahaar was listed so that we don’t miss watching movies on our rented VCR (The story about our rented VCR days will follow later)
Rangoli: It was a reason to get up early morning on Sundays
Vikram Vetaal: I liked it lot as a child. Vetaal at that time was scary but now I think he was kindaa cute :)
Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi: Hilarious comedy. Opening lines went something like..
Yeh jo hai zindagi thodi khatti thodi meethiThodi (something) thodi (something)....
Malgudi Days: A Kid named Swami (looking very cute in Dhoti & Blazer) and the title song –“taana na taana na na” & ofcourse R K Laxman’s sketches.
Sigma: India’s first sci-fi serial. This serial was far ahead from its time during those days. Serial was about a space station called Sigma. I guess everyone who remember this serial will also be remembering that HELIUM attack episode too. And something in black colour & the shape of pumping heart looked yuk…
Udaan: Based on Kiran Bedi’s life, Kavita chaudhary (Lalita ji of surf) was lead actress and serial was quite popular. Story of a girl’s journey to become an IPS officer. Shekhar Kapoor played her love interest.
Simhasan Batteesi: About King Vikramaditya’s sinhaasan & the 32 stories being told by battis putliyan.
Appu Aur Pappu: About a kid and his elephant friend.
Mulla Naeeruddin: It was about Mulla Naseeruddin( Raghubir Yadav), set in 13th century in Baghdad and Zohra Sehgal used to narrate in this.
The Discovery of India: Roshan Seth used to play Nehru’s role and even though I cudn’t understand a word of what he was saying I used to watch it.
Mr Yogi: Mohan Gokhale plays Mr. Yogi who comes to India in search of a bride. Om Puri plays Sutradhar who directs the story of Yogi. The story revolves around Yogi and his search for a perfect bride. Hilarious.
Flop show: Jaspal Bhatti was just tooo good. Hilarious
Karamchand: Pankaj kapoor as karamchand (with carrot) and Sushmita mukerjee as kitty.
World this Week : Pranoy Roy at his best. This was a no nonsence show where I as a kid was not allowed to speak and we watched this show with Dad in complete pin drop silence.
Surabhi: Sidhdharth Kak and Renuka Shahane were hosting this program. Renuka’s hair cut and Colgate smile were quite popular.
Thehqiqat: Better recognized as “Tehqueeqat, yeh hai tehqeeqat”. Vijay Anand as Sam ‘D Souza and his assistant Saurabh Shukla.
Vyomkesh Bakshi: With a Bengali background Rajat kapoor was Vyomkesh bakshi in dhoti and kurta and K K Raina as his assistant.
Ramayan and Mahabharat: There was Curfew like situation on Sunday mornings when these two epics were telecasted.. Dara singh as Hanuman,Arun Govil as Ram & Deepika as Sita were worshipped in common indian households. Harish Bhimani’s voice as “main samay hoon” made great impact in Mahabharat.
Chandrakanta: Started very well but lost interest after introduction of too many characters and complicated story. But Kroor Singh doing Yakkkkuu was like Amrish Puri saying “Mogambo khush hua.....”
Phir Wohi Talaash: I can recall only Nilima Azim playing a bubbly girl. The story was a small town boy comes to metro and falls in love with a rich and sophisticated girl.
Kille ka Rahasya: Don’t recall much, but I used to close my eyes when a big Punja was coming closer to camera.
Mungerilal ke haseen sapne: Talented Raghuvir Yaadav as Mungherilal used to see dreams of a person whichever attracts him.
Daayre: Ahem! Ahem! Me as a kid worked in this serial since the shooting was in our school and the crew needed 2-3 kids..That was my 5 minutes claim to fame & everyone back home watched this serial. :)
Shahruk’s Fauji & Circus
Doosra kewal : It was about a son who is lost and shahrukh made appearances in between
Shanti & Swabhimaan: Ma used to tell me the story of episodes that I missed while I was in hostel. :)
Junglebook: Remember that song ”jungle jungle baat chali hai pataa chala hai, chaddi pehen ke phool khila hai..”
Danu Danasur: “Chipkali ke nana hai, chipkali ke hai sasur..”
Spider Man: Spiderman – spiderman friendly neighbourhood spiderman He can do whatever a spider can
He Man & The Master Of The Universe
Ek Do Teen Char: “Ek Do Teen Char. Charo milkar saath chale toh karde chamatkar”.
Indradhanush: It was a story about a boy who discovers a time Machine ,and with help of this time machine he travels ancient period as well as in future.
Honi-Anhoni: This was based on unnatural true stories .I remember watching each & every episode with a pumpimg heart & with half eyes closed.
Pachpan Khambe Laal Deewarein: With Aman Verma and Meeta Vashisth. It was about a young man falling in love with a woman who was older than him and was a professor cum hostel warden.
Kashish: It had Sudesh Berry and Malvika Tiwari. A love story of a director falling for his leading lady. The director is shown very egoistic.
Farmaan: Kawaljit & Deepika Deshpande’s kiss gave a controversial twist to this serial and added to it’s popularity. May be the age I was in when these serials started made me very fond of them. :)
The ones I remember watching on television but can’t recall much:
Humlog: This serial dealt with the everyday lives of people like Badki, manjali, chutki, Lallu & Nanhe. In the end Ashok Kumar used to sum up the episode.
Buniyaad : All I remember is Master ji, Veerawali & Lajo ji
Nukkad: Dilip Dhawan, Pavan Malhotra & khopdi.
Lucy show: An English comedy used to come on Wednesday I guess.
Nupur: Lead actor was Sudesh Berry and had background of classical dance & music
Mrignayani: Pallavi Joshi
Wagle Ki Duniya: Anjan srivastava and Bharti Achrekar in a light hearted comedy
Humraahi: Manohar shyaam joshi and Himani Shivpuri.
Neenv: About school & students
Chunauti: It was about drugs
Show Theme: About movies
Muzrim haazir ho: Hun huna.. hun huna..hun huna re…hun huna!!
Intezaar: Station master Pavan Malhotra
Tamas: A bus or a truck carrying people may be at the time of partition & Deepa Sahi
Tipu sultan: All I remember is Sanjay Khan as Tipu Sultan & Shahbaaz Khan as Hyder Ali.
Gul Gulshan Gulfam: Based on a family in Kashmir valley, I first saw boathouses in this serial. But I still remember the song “Muskurate subah ki aur gungunaate shaam ki, yeh kahaani gul ki hai, gulshan ki hai, gulfaam ki”
Turning Point: Hosted by Girish karnard or Naseer.
Kakaji kahein: Om Puri
Krishi Darshan & Chaupal: Never watched these two.

Around these programmes my world used to revolve. In short, the serials of those days had good story line, stellar performances ,fewer commercials and most important a reasonable duration.
Those good old days…Somebody plz tell Ekta Kapoor to watch any one of them and I m sure she will come up with a new series called ‘Kahaani Hamaare Television Ki” :)

Weekend fest :)
Even a simple dinner of jeera rice & dal makhni seems the yummiest when u r starving. But to think of all the butter & calories that i have stocked this weekend is giving me sleepless night..It is enough now and i wll have to start gng to my jym again..boyfee thinks i need to loose some weight and tintin sayz he needs to gain some weight :) but the sweetheart never seems to stop when it comes to keep me feeded properly:)
Thinking of 2morrow i just kept aside the dress i will wear for office. After weekends i always get monday bluez so its better to be prepared for tomorrow as i bound to get late on monday mornings..the house seems so quite at this time...boyfee has gone to where he belongs. his beloved office & back to his work..this weekend has been full of fun, laughters & promises of course, which i am sure i wll keep reminding him not to break..now i just feel so relaxed and for me this is probably the best phase of my life...as i can see a promising life ahead of me..it is just like those days when u get up & feel happy without any reason...and for me all my happiness comes from the ppl around me..my family who keeps me on my toes all the time as anything is possible anytime for them, my boyfee who is so unpredictable that i love to solve this mystry and the more i try to know him the more i think he needs to be explored...and my frndz with whome time has been a fun filled whacky journey.. how i thank you god for all good things that u have done for me..i truly feel blessed..And before i sign off on this note therz something i need to mention as i returned after the movie yesterday, the news channels were showing clippings of the bomb blasts in ahmedabaad. I was busy showing boyfee the new songs of "bachnaa ae hasino" on my lappy when he said he waz more intrested in listening to news..later i thought how come these things dont affect me. I mean they do but not to that extent that i get disturbed and loose interst in other things..is it because we r so used to these kind of news..? all this garb that has been happening around has made us so imune that we are loosing our sensitivity??Tintin prayz for all the victims, for their happiness and really do wish that whoever is after all this needs to rot in hell..GOD..if u r there plzzzz do something..make this world a better place to live in..with all the love & beauty around...hold our hand and take us to miles where we feel exhausted and sleep in peace..AMEN...with this note tintin sayz bye and sleeps in hope of a peaceful world..
